One price. No subscription.
Lunaris is $29 one-time for the first 100 founders, then $59. Every purchase is covered by a 14-day money-back guarantee.
Pay once. Own it for good.
Lunaris is a paid Mac app, and here's why that matters: a weekend of free scripts isn't the same as software that answers for the result.
It's maintained, not abandoned
A stack of services, a VPN, indexers, and constant updates make a moving target. Lunaris keeps them working release after release, so nothing rots the first time something upstream changes.
Buy once, no subscription
One payment, and every Lunaris 1.x update is included. Founders go further: the first 100 get every future version, majors included, free forever.
You own it
No subscription, no account that can lock you out of your own library. The app and everything in it are yours.
The price for the first 100 founders. After that it's $59.
- The full Lunaris Mac app, Apple Silicon and Intel
- Every future update included, major versions too
- Self-healing setup and maintenance, handled
- Runs headless: remote status page for screen-less Macs
- Connect your AI: built-in MCP server for diagnosis by chat
- Founder support and a say in the roadmap
Instant download after checkout, and no account to create. 14-day money-back guarantee.
What you'll need alongside it.
A Mac running macOS 13+
Apple Silicon (M1 or newer) or Intel — Lunaris is a universal app. That's the whole hardware requirement. Your media server is the Mac you already own.
Optionally, a VPN subscription
If you turn on downloading, Lunaris seals it behind a VPN you bring — ProtonVPN today (around $5/month), with more WireGuard providers like Mullvad on the way. We don't sell or resell VPN service, and you can skip it at setup and add one later.
Optionally, a Plex account
Plex and Jellyfin are both supported. Jellyfin is completely free, including watching away from home. Plex's free tier covers everything at home; Plex itself charges for remote streaming and hardware transcoding (their call, not ours).
And to be clear about what you're not buying:
- No movies, shows, or any other content. Lunaris is software, and your library is yours to build
- No subscription, no account with us, nothing that can lock you out of your own files
- The open-source apps Lunaris manages are free and stay free. You're paying for the Mac app that sets them up and keeps them healthy
Pricing questions.
Why is the regular price $59?
Lunaris exists because a self-hosted stack is a moving target: upstream apps change, and keeping everything working is ongoing effort. One fair payment funds that maintenance without a subscription. Compared with the setup weekend it replaces, the babysitting after that, or a lifetime Plex Pass, it's priced to be the easy choice.
What do updates cost?
Nothing extra. Founders (the first 100) get every future update, major versions included, forever. Buyers after that get every Lunaris 1.x update included, and the app you bought keeps working for good. If we ever ship a paid major upgrade, it will be optional, and free for founders.
Is there a trial?
Not yet. Instead there's a 14-day money-back guarantee with no questions asked. If it's not for you, email us within two weeks and you get a full refund.
When can I buy it?
Right now. The first 100 licenses are $29 at getlunaris.app/buy, with the download delivered the moment checkout finishes.
The full refund policy lives at getlunaris.app/refunds. Payments will be handled by Paddle as merchant of record; prices are in USD and local taxes may apply at checkout.
